Savour the gentle pace of a canal trip aboard the Kennet Horse Boat Company's traditionally styled horse drawn and motorised day trip boats on the Kennet & Avon Canal. The Horse Drawn Barge operates from Kintbury, daytime only. The Motor Barge operates from Newbury Wharf, daytime/evening.

NEW: The Cygnet Luxury Steel Narrowboat.
Cygnet is a 30ft traditionally styled steel narrowboat built to a high specification and available for self steer day hire from Newbury. Up to eight passengers can enjoy cruising this section of the Kennet and Avon canal and the beautiful surroundings of the Berkshire countryside.

The horse drawn barge operates from Kintbury, which is easily accessible by road. Take the Hungerford exit from the M4 ( Junction 14): take the A338 towards Hungerford and then the A4 towards Newbury. kintbury is signposted from the A4 between Hungerford and Newbury. We are situated right next to Kintbury station opposite the public house.

The seld -steer narrowboat 'Cygnet' is situated centrally in Newbury at Greenham Isalnd, off Mill Lane ( Sainsubury's roundabout just off the A339). Newbury is acessible from M4 Junction 13 or A34 or A339 or A4.

The horse drawn barge operates from Kintbury and is situated right next to Kintbury Train Station. This is a main line railway with connections from london Paddington and local trains running from Newbury/Hungerford.

Local buses are also avaliable from Newbury to Kintbury.

The Self-steer narrow ' Cygnet' is situated centrally in Newbury at Greenham Isalnd, off Mill Lane. This is approx 15 mins walk from Newbury Train Station.
